Jim Riley once stayed up all night in the hopes of catching a glimpse of his crops in the act of growing. He was 6 at the time.

Body Copy
Jim Riley has always been fascinated by the way plants grow. He planted his first vegetable garden at age 4, and for the past 15 years, he's been in charge of our onion and garlic fields.

We grow our own onion and garlic because it's the best way we know to insure you of consistent, high-quality dehydrated onion and garlic. We control everything, from seed development, growing conditions and harvesting, to packaging and delivery.

Growing our own crops is one of the things that sets Gilroy Foods apart from other dehydrators. That, and employing people who are really enthusiastic about their jobs.

Ralph Watson was transporting garlic before he could walk.

Body Copy
Ralph was born and raised in Gilroy, California, the garlic capital of the world. One of the first solid foods he enjoyed was mashed potatoes...with garlic. It was no surprise when, after earning a degree at the University of Florida, Ralph returned to his home town to take a job with us at Gilroy Foods.

Today, Ralph heads up our busy shipping department. It's his job to get dehydrated garlic from Gilroy to points all over the world. To relieve tension, he sometimes juggles at his desk. With garlic bulbs, of course.

We do a lot of things in the name of keeping our customers satisfied. But none are more important than hiring folks who are really into their jobs.

Mary Mark's favorite lipstick has a colorspace a/b ratio of 1.6.

Something about Mary's new red lipstick seemed so familiar. Mary's one of our lab technicians, and being a scientist, she's curious by nature. So she decided to put her lipstick to the test in our labs, using state-of-the-art color assessment techniques she helped develop.

Sure enough, the lipstick had the same surface color value as our best-selling paprika--a brilliant shade of orange-red that's ever so appetizing in foodstuffs, and quite fetching when worn by certain scientists.

Staying on top of the latest technological advances helps us provide our customers with consistently excellent products. And it doesn't hurt to have employees like Mary.
